Banana Bread with Glazed Fruit and Nuts

National Banana Bread Day is Thursday!
In honor of this yummy day I give you, Banana Bread with Glazed Fruit and Nuts
¼ cup butter
½ cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 bananas, finely crushed
¾ cup flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon vanilla
Blend and cream together butter and sugar.
Add eggs and crushed bananas.Combine well.
Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla.
Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. . Use a sugar-syrup glaze to brush on cakes, fruit, and nuts of choice for a shine and to adhere.
Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes.
Keeps well, refrigerated.
