St. Patrick’s day Mojito

Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day!

We all know how hot it gets in the south and since we are approaching summer, I would like to start this recipe with a little something I learned along the way.

Mix 1 ounce rum and 1-ounce carbonated water and place into small ice cube trays and freeze. Use this set of ice cubes instead of regular ice cubes.

Mojito

2-3 Fresh mint leaves

1 Tablespoon simple syrup

3 pre-made ice cubes of rum and carbonated water

1 ¼ ounces rum

1 ounce carbonated water

Fresh mint to garnish each glass

1 Lime cut into wedges

Directions

In a cocktail glass, muddle (crush) mint leaves with the simple syrup. Add pre-made ice cubes and rum. Top with carbonated water almost to the top of the glass. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint leaves and a lime wedge.
