I am so excited to launch my second blog, Best of the Veg!
This blog is about my journey and experiences becoming aware, green, and vegan. There are four parts to the journey….Lifestyle. beauty, fashion, & food.
Best of the Veg – Food is all about taking your favorite everyday meat dishes and turning them into delicious vegetarian, vegan, organic, and low-calorie meals while keeping the flavor for a healthy lifestyle. However, you don’t have to be a vegetarian or vegan to appreciate the delicious taste of these recipes.
My husband and I have taken a conscience step to not only eat healthier, but also live a healthier lifestyle by educating ourselves about what really is in food and during the process our way of eating changed. We watched a documentary called Forks over Knives and it changed our lives. By eating a whole foods Plant based organic diet & lower calories meals, we not only feel better, but also know we are taking better care of ourselves. I love to cook and to eat so I knew I had to keep the flavors while losing the fat and calories. While we are taking the steps from vegetarian to vegan, we eat many delicious plant-based meals while incorporating the everyday flavors we already love.
We are growing our own herbs and vegetables and that certainly makes eating healthy fresh meals enjoyable.
